HOME LIGHT SYSTEM:
Solar home System is a user friendly and
effective light source using the sunlight to provide
reliable and cost effective electricity. The Solar Home
System is an Ideal light source and a visible solution for
household electrification in rural areas. The Solar Home
System Comprises of a rugged PV module for charging the
battery, (a flooded Tubular type Battery to store the
electric charge), a charge controller for the safe charging
and discharging of the battery, two/three light units
(Luminaries) with an efficient inverter and 7/9/11 W,
Compact Florescent lamp.

| The Luminaries
are DC Operated Wall mountable light source and it gives
pure white light. It consists of a Compact Fluorescent (CFL)
and DC AC high frequency inverter. The high frequency
inverter offers high efficiency and more light output and
provides long life to the CFL. |

| The SCCU protects battery from over charge and excessive
discharge. The SCCU has an excellent charging algorithm, temperature
compensated set points, intelligent battery status indicator, adequate
protections etc. The Charge controller uses PWM Charging technology so that
as the battery reaches full charge, the PWM pulses slower, gradually
tapering off the charge. Pulsing is good for the batteries since it gently
mixes the electrolyte preventing stratification and sulphation. Low voltage
disconnects protects the batteries from server discharge by shutting off
loads before the battery voltage drops to damaging levels. Temperature
compensation adjust the set point voltage according to the battery
temperature. |
